Marc Carter presided over the 228th Judicial District Court in
Harris County, (Houston), Texas for 16 years. While he was on the
bench he created the first Veterans Court in Texas, which, along
with many other accomplishments in criminal justice reform, led to
him receiving
numerous local, state, and national awards and honors.
Marc received
his undergraduate degree form the University of Texas and his law
degree from Texas Southern University. He also obtained the
rank of captain in the Army. He presently engages in the
private practice of law in Houston, Texas. He is married with
two daughters and one grandchild.
